Kyle Katarn is back in Jedi Knight; discovering his past, and the Jedi that he is destined to be. He finds out that his father aided a Jedi Master and fought to protect him and the dangerous secret of an ancient Jedi Battle ground and its grave, the Valley of the Souls.
Kyle's path takes him back to his home planet, a place that he has not seen since he left for the Academy twelve years ago. There he learns the circumstances of his father's death, and who was responsible for it. He must use this knowledge with great care, for there are those who would use his past to turn him to the Dark Side.

Rahn is a long since dead Jedi Master. Unknown to Kyle he comes back from the grave to give Kyle his lightsaber and entrusts him with his destiny. Rahn has a kindness and wisdom that can be seen in his heart and eyes. Yet when it is necessary to dispose of those who threaten peace and justice he deals with the fierce strength of the Force. Before he died, Rahn kept a journal of his travels, thoughts, and things he learned. This journal becomes Kyle's guide to the Force.

Jan Ors is back once again to pull Kyle out of the trouble that he inevitably gets himself into. She keeps him briefed on anything that he might want to know. She is a truly tough rebel who is loyal the Rebellion's cause. She is reliable and knowledgeable, and the only person that Kyle trusts.

Jerec
His heavy brow overshadows the empty recesses that normally embrace eyes. Tattoos flow from his mouth and he hides his empty eye sockets with a thin blindfold-like mask. His power and advantages mainly stem from his vast knowledge of the Force and the Well.
When battling him he can drain most of your resources from the Well leaving you weak and vulnerable. He is more powerful since he has absorbed some of the Void from the Valley of the Souls. His favorite Force power is Destruction and he will use this one constantly. If you fire or use any other weapons except the lightsaber, he will absorb its energy and add it to his regeneration.

Boc is a cunning and brash individual. Crude and loud, he is a joker, a playful person, and almost clumsy. But when he needs to draw from the Force and do battle he is formidable. He carries not one, but two lightsabers, making him an uncommon and dangerous opponent.
Boc's lightsaber starts out as one big bulky lightsaber he can then pull it apart to form two separate sabers. He is very fast with them and will sometimes throw one while he charges you with the other. He is always laughing and talking while you fight.

She is one of the more powerful of the seven Dark Jedi; strong with both the physical and mental areas of the Force. She is a master, a perfectionist, quiet and reserved. You can find her watching carefully in the background studying each and every detail, not by her eyes, just by her presence.
Sariss is probably the best sword fighter out of all the Jedi on pure sword fighting alone. She is purest, and uses very little of her other powers.
Sariss' sword is very utilitarian looking. There is nothing fancy about it; it just does its job. It is sleek and clean with no knobs or grips; only one dark grove that travels down the side.
